Meet the Founder

Founder & Director

Yvonne Nhlapho

Founder & Director — Women in Farming

Yvonne Nhlapho is a passionate advocate for women's participation in South Africa's agricultural sector. With a deep belief that food security and economic freedom begin with empowered women, she founded Women in Farming to turn that vision into a living reality.

Under her leadership, the initiative has grown into a vibrant community of over 50 active members who receive hands-on training, mentorship, and market access support. Yvonne works closely with partners, government bodies, and private-sector organisations to unlock opportunity for women farmers across Gauteng.

Her work has been recognised at community expos and agricultural events throughout Johannesburg, where she continues to represent and amplify the voices of women in farming.
